Peer support group for parents/carers of children with cancer

Practical help and support groups

Our group is a relaxed and informal support group, run by parents for parents with a child, teenager or young adult with a cancer diagnosis. It is a dedicated group for parents/carers to come together, feel supported and build shared resilience, coping skills and overall wellbeing after their child’s diagnosis. The group will occasionally be attended by a local clinical nurse specialist who can offer practical advice and support. Parents will also have opportunity to identify and engage in activities to support their overall wellbeing, such as a programme of free complimentary therapies. Whilst the group’s initial launch will take place online on Dec 5th , we hope to establish one or more in-person groups, dependant on participant numbers and locations.

Online and in various locations accessible to participants. Online group 6.30pm to 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of every month. Please contact Changing Minds Kent for further information.
